Piney Lake - Colorado
August 18-20, 2016
Sometimes trips don't go according to plan. Or they don't go at all. That's what happened to my planned multiple-day backpacking trip I had planned to make earlier this summer. However, I'm thankful for the opportunity to tag along with a group of men to Piney Lake and then towards Upper Piney Lake for a few days.

However, I'm thankful for the opportunity to tag along with a group of men to Piney Lake and then towards Upper Piney Lake for a few days.

During a three-day backpacking trip in the Piney River valley, near Vail, CO, I came across this wonderful scene of Mount Powell. What a pretty valley!

At the tail end of a backpacking trip, I saw these canoes siting calmly on Piney Lake near Vail, CO. Even though the area was large, people spend time in the mountains for some solitude where three's usually a crowd.
