Fall Colors 2008 - Kebler Pass
September 28-30, 2008
Autumn is always a nice time of year for colors in Colorado because the mountains are full of Aspen trees. Because of this, my housemate and I went on a three-day backpacking trip to Kebler Pass to view and capture the colors of Autumn.
We had pretty good weather throughout the trip and only one time did it threaten to rain (though at times it would have been nicer with a few more puffy clouds). Most of these images were captured on the 830 Forest Service Trail.

Autumn sunrise really brings out the light colors of the aspen forests creating such a soft light around the forest floor - even for the fallen.

Aspen trees tower over the rising sun for a brief moment.

As Autumn progresses, so does the Aspen color.

A path is illuminated with golden light as the sun shines through the Aspen grove.
