Winter 2010 - Grand Teton National Park
February 13-15, 2010
Grand Teton National Park was the location of my first winter solo trip. I knew it would be colder than my current equipment would allow for and given the dangers of backpacking in wintery conditions alone, I opted to camp in my car rather than hit the backcountry. It was a nice trip, though there was only one day with decent photographic weather.

The Teton range, like most mountain ranges, can experience some interesting cloud formations.
The frozen Jackson Lake becomes the forefront to the Teton range.
When nightfall arrived, the stars and galaxy became extremely clear.
The Grand Teton stands in the cold environment patiently waiting for Spring.
Mount Moran as seen from Oxbow Bend.
When a low fog is formed it makes nature above it appear as if its unnaturally rising above the clouds.
One of the best backyards I have ever encountered thanks to the Cunningham family in 1890. I would live there if the park would let me.
