Summer is always great for viewing wildflowers and this year was to be around Maroon Bells.
However, due to getting a late start on the trailhead, the planned loop was not completed. Therefore, part of the loop was hiked and then a trip to Crystal and Crested Butte was in order.

Built in 1893, the Crystal Mill still stands and is the most photographed icon in Colorado. Located in Crystal, CO a 4WD vehicle is required to get to the location.
