Dream Lake Ice - Colorado
February 15, 2014
For years, I have heard about the frozen Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, but had never made the trip because of busy schedule, poor timing, or pure forgetfulness. That has now changed.
I took a quick snowshoe trip up to the lake and once I got there, I could not stop looking at the ice even though the wind was blowing hard. Air bubbles, snowballs, rocks. All frozen in the smooth and cracked ice. What a neat thing to see!

Air bubbles and snowballs are trapped in the frozen Dream Lake.
